In this cyberpunk artwork "Cyber Narcissus," a reinterpretation of the Greek myth unfolds. Narcissus, a renowned hunter from the technologically advanced city of Thespiae in Boeotia, was known for his unmatched beauty. However, in this futuristic tale, he rejects all romantic advances and becomes infatuated with his own augmented reality. Entranced by his digital reflection in a shimmering pool of data, Narcissus fixates on it until the end of his life. When he passes away, a radiant flower bearing his name emerges. Narcissus, the origin of the term "narcissism," epitomizes self-obsession in this cybernetic society.
